Increased temperatures are expected for some of South Africa’s provinces. Temperatures of near-thirties are expected. Hot, humid weather continues for this week – and South Africans are cautioned to stay safe in heat and direct sunlight.

WEATHER: SOUTH AFRICA’S HEATWAVE CONTINUES
South Africa’s heatwave continues, according to the SAWS.
Increased temperatures have been measured for parts of the country, including Gauteng, North-West, Kwazulu-Natal, and parts of the Northern and Western Cape.

Extreme heat could continue for the rest of the week.
WEATHER: HEATWAVE AFFECTED PROVINCES
Intensive heat is expected for Gauteng, North-West, Kwazulu-Natal, and parts of the Northern and Western Cape.
High temperatures continue for the rest of the week, with at least some relief expected during the weekend. Until then, South Africans brace for more heat.

More heat is expected for the rest of the week, according to the SAWS.
Affected areas are cautioned against heatstroke and dehydration. Headaches and cardiac (heart) strain are some of the potential conditions associated with heat exposure.
