Heatwave to continue until this weekend in most parts of SA
Heatwave conditions are expected in six provinces of SA as the weather service has forecast extremely hot temperatures.
A heatwave with scorching temperatures will last until the weekend in most parts of the country.
This is according to an advisory issued by the South African Weather Service (SAWS).
HEATWAVE WITH EXTREMELY HOT TEMPERATURES IN SIX PROVINCES
The weather service said that the central and eastern provinces are forecasted to be sweltering and uncomfortable.
The following provinces will be affected:
- Northern Cape
- Eastern Cape
- North West
- Free State
- Mpumalanga
- Gauteng
The heatwave is expected to last until the weekend in Gauteng and Mpumalanga.

HOW TO STAY COOL

Taking cool showers has been reported to help. Taking cool showers or baths helps to lower your body temperature and feel refreshed during the heatwave.
