Hailstorms expected in Gauteng, Mpumalanga and KZN
The South African Weather Service has issued a warning for hailstorms in Gauteng, Mpumalanga and KwaZulu-Natal.
A warning has been issued by the SA Weather Services (SAWS) for HAILSTORMS in these three provinces on Friday.

HAILSTORMS EXPECTED IN THESE THREE PROVINCES TODAY
According to the SAWS, the level 2 warning is in place for Gauteng, Mpumalanga, and KwaZulu-Natal until Friday.
“Localised flooding of roads, settlements, and low-lying areas, resulting in the closure of some bridges and roads possible.”the SAWS said.

LARGE HAILSTORMS ARE EXPECTED
Furthermore, it said large amounts of small hail are also over an open area.

The SAWS urged the public not to seek shelter under trees or tall objects during storms and to park cars under shelter.

“Avoid crossing flooded roads and swollen streams. Where rising water levels are observed, move to high grounds.
“Do not seek shelter under trees or tall objects. Do not go fishing or play golf, as both the golf clubs and fishing rods are good conductors of electricity during thunderstorms.”the SAWS said.
