Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya posted this sweet video of a young rhino out for a brisk morning jog with one of the staff. The four-month-old southern white rhino calf was abandoned by its mother at birth, the conservancy says.
Ol Pejeta is situated at the foot of Mount Kenya and is a trailblazer in conservation. It is a former cattle ranch that has become the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, and is the only place in Kenya to see chimpanzees. It was created to rehabilitate animals rescued from the black market, it says, and also works with the local community towards creating a sustainable environment, even managing its own livestock community.
