New flights: Convenient route to Bangkok relaunched!
South Africans can now travel to Bangkok in Thailand with Kenya Airways’ convenient scheduled flights via Nairobi.
Kenya’s national carrier Kenya Airways has relaunched scheduled flights between Nairobi and Bangkok.
The airline previously operated this route, which was a convenient way for South Africans to travel to destinations in South East Asia.

KENYA AIRWAYS
Kenya Airways first started flying from Nairobi to Bangkok in 2003 but suspended the route in 2020.
This was due to the global border closures and the flight bans that were being imposed in an attempt to contain the spread of Covid-19.
Kenyan’s flights to Bangkok, with a connection via Nairobi were popular for a number of South African travellers visiting Thailand.
DIRECT SERVICES
Thai Airways International offered convenient direct services between Johannesburg and Bangkok until 2008.
The airline axed the route due to low volumes of passenger traffic for these direct services.

FLIGHTS TO BANGKOK
Now three years after halting its flights, Kenya Airways has restarted scheduled services to the ever-popular city of Bangkok.
The carrier now offers services from its base in Nairobi to Bangkok, five times a week.
In addition, Kenya Airways operates tag on flights from Bangkok to Guangzhou in China.
The service is operated using a Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
