Durban leads for Festivals and Events, says World Travel Awards

DURBAN LEADS FOR EVENTS
The World Travel Awards Africa leg took place this past Sunday, 15 October 2023, at The Atlantis Royal in Dubai.

At the glitzy gala, Africa and Indian Ocean’s leading travel and tourism spots were announced and a few South African destinations and establishments scooped up some of the prestigious awards.
KwaZulu-Natal’s beautiful coastal city of Durban was named Africa’s Leading Festival & Event Destination for the third year in a row.

CAPE TOWN TAKES BEST CITY DESTINATION
And while Durban won for events, Cape Town managed to bag no less than SEVEN awards.

The Mother city was named Africa’s Leading City Destination of the year, while Cape Town International Airport took Africa’s Leading Airport.
