The Amazing Maze at uMlanga’s Gateway Theatre of Shopping is the newest and coolest must-see attraction for one and all. It’s a whimsical, immersive experience that incorporates scale, dimensions and perspective to leave you fascinated. With different “realms” and realities to explore, it’s the perfect place to spend a lazy weekend afternoon.

The Amazing Maze will be at Gateway Theatre of Shopping from 29 September 2023 to 3 January 2024.

SPEND SOME TIME AT THE THE UMGENI RIVER BIRD PARK

The Umgeni River Bird Park is a popular tourist destination, especially for bird lovers and nature enthusiasts. The park is home to a diverse range of bird species, both indigenous and exotic, housed in large walk-through aviaries that mimic their natural habitats.

Visitors will have a chance to see colourful parrots, majestic raptors and other fascinating birds from around the world.

Tickets cost R70 for adults and R46 for children.

FEEL BIG AT MINI TOWN

A famous feature in Durban, Mini Town is known for its intricate miniature replicas of some of Durban’s prominent buildings and landmarks. This miniature city is designed to give visitors a scaled-down perspective of the city’s key attractions. If you haven’t been before or wish to relive the whimsy of it all, a visit is definitely in order this weekend.

Tickets cost R40 for adults and R30 for children and the park is open 9:30 to 16:30 everyday.
