Direct flights to link Johannesburg with Mozambique

LAM MOZAMBIQUE TO EXPAND ROUTES

LAM Mozambique Airlines will soon be adding routes to three destinations in Mozambique from Johannesburg.

According to Travel News, these three cities will be Pemba, Nampula and Tete.

Flights to Pemba will actually begin on Monday, 29 January and, from March, Nampula and Tete will be added to the airline’s service offerings.

FLIGHT SCHEDULES

To Pemba, the flight schedule will be as follows:

• Flights will depart Johannesburg on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 11:00 and arrive in Pemba at 13:50. Flights from Pemba to Johannesburg will then leave on the same days at 14:30 and arrive at 17:20.

To Nampula, the flight schedule will be as follows:

• Flights will depart Johannesburg on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays at 14:00, with arrival in Nampula at 16:10. The return flight then departs at 16:50 and arrives in Johannesburg at 19:00 on Tuesdays, Thursday and Sundays.

To Tete, the flight schedule will be as follows:

• Flights to Tete will also depart Johannesburg on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays at 08:00 and arrive at 10:10. The return flight will then depart at 10:50 and arrive in Johannesburg at 13:00 on the same days.

LAM MOZAMBIQUE RETURNS TO SA SKIES

LAM also only recently announced the resumption of its service between the country of Mozambique and Johannesburg, South Africa.

The resumed flights connecting Johannesburg to two Mozambique tourism cities, Vilanculos and Beira, began on 6 August 2023, Tourism Update reported.

According to the flight schedule, services to Vilanculos are scheduled for Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays and depart Johannesburg at 11:10, arriving in the city at 13:05. Return flights then depart Vilanculos at 14:15, arriving in Johannesburg at 16:10.

Services to Beira are then scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and depart Beira at 08:30, arriving in Johannesburg at 10:10. Return flights then depart Johannesburg at 17:35 and arrive in Beira at 19:15.
