While he was linked with moves to Cape Town City and Cape Town Spurs, nothing materialised. Recent reports suggest that the 33-year-old winger may return home to Zimbabwe to join Dynamos.
HUNT SAYS KHAMA BILLIAT ONLY TRAINED WITH THE TEAM ONCE
Speaking to FarPost, Hunt confirmed that Billiat did train with Matsatsantsa.
“He trained here one morning, he was here just one morning, and he never came back, that’s all,” said Hunt after Friday’s league game against Stellenbosch FC.
“He was here for one day, and he left, and he never came back. I wasn’t there [when Khama Billiat went to training], though, so I have never seen him. I never spoke to Billiat since at Kaizer Chiefs, years ago.”
SuperSport United CEO Stanley Mathews told Sunday World that Khama Billiat trained with the club but they opted not to sign him.
