Bafana Bafana went into their last 16 AFCON clash against the Moroccans as underdogs, but the national soccer team produced one of its all time greatest performances to stun the North Africans 2-0 and thus advancing to the quarter-finals of the tournament.
The result not only sent shock waves through to continent, but put South Africans from all walks of life in a celebratory mood, with many taking to social media to their their joy at Bafana’s display much like they did during the Springboks’ epic World Cup playoff run back in October.
And true to form, the Springboks skipper was ready to return the favour — as we so often does — by dancing and singing to along TKZee’s hit song “Shibobo”, while lovingly informing and educating his two children Nic and Keziah about Bafana’s win over Morocco and their progression to the quarter-finals.
Siya Kolisi shared the video to his Instagram account, and in true millennial fashion, poked fun at his kids for not knowing much about the soccer team, but also promised that they’d know now.
“Yho ama2000 don’t know what we know about Bafana Bafana, but they will find out. Ronwen Williams and the boys, congrats I know the country is gonna be even more mal getting behind you!”
