SPRINGBOKS MOVING ONTO THE NEXT CHALLENGE
The Springboks will face Romania in their second pool match in Bordeaux on Sunday, 17 September.
“The first thing is to maybe go back a step and take the warm-ups into perspective. A lot of people read a lot into those games, but it really has no bearing on the games in the tournament,” said Nienaber.
“We saw it with France, with England’s performances this weekend. There’s no pressure in the warm-ups, you’re prepping for the main tournament. This is the real thing, there’s a lot of pressure here.
“It’s a first step in the right direction, to get out of the pool will be massive. We’re not even thinking about Ireland, it’s Romania and Romania alone for now.”
