Ahead of the league encounter, the Bafana Bafana legend Tinkler says Abafana Bes’thende may be a very difficult opponent on a good day.
“Obviously, we come up with a team that has always been very difficult for us. Even though over the past seasons, we have beaten them, the games were always extremely tough,” Tinkler told the club media section.
“Not easy, recently, we lost to them in the Carling Knockout, but we came off the back of five wins.
“So, we need to go into this game with a lot of belief, confidence, and morals but at the same time don’t show any complacency.

“They are going through a period of four losses. Their confidence and morale are not where they should be.
“We need to play to our advantage. We go there and put on a good performance and ultimately ensure that we try to come back with maximum points.”
Moreover, the seasoned City mentor, Tinkler also raises concerns over the momentum that was broken by the international recess.

CITY MENTOR WARY AND RUES RECENT BREAK
Ahead of the international break, the Cape Town Stadium-based club downed another KZN side, Royal AM via a 2-0 scoreline.
However, Tinkler now hopes the break didn’t disrupt their momentum heading to their 13th league match as they sit third with 22 points so far.
For Khenyeza’s men who sit fourth, they are out to return to winning ways following consecutive defeats to neighbours, AmaZulu in the Carling Knockout Cup and to Thwihli Thwahla in the league.
