Stellenbosch announce ex-Chiefs midfielder
Careers have to keep moving. Ex-Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Darrel Matsheke signed a new club. His new home is at Stellenbosch FC.
Players can always restart somewhere after Kaizer Chiefs. The latest example is Stellenbosch FC’s newest target Darrel Matsheke.

Following loan spells with Moroka Swallows and Uthongathi before Chiefs ended his contract last season, the 24-year-old from Soweto has found new living accommodation in the Cape Winelands as Sibongiseni Mthethwa’s replacement.
“We are delighted to announce that the club has acquired the services of midfielder Darrel Matsheke,” the club said.

“Matsheke has signed with Stellenbosch FC on a free transfer following the conclusion of his contract with Kaizer Chiefs at the end of last season, and arrives in the Cape Winelands as a welcomed addition to the club’s midfield.

The 24-year-old spent the previous two campaigns on loan at Uthongathi FC and Moroka Swallows, respectively, making 32 appearances across the National First Division and DStv Premiership, and boasts experience of having played in the CAF Champions League during his time with Chiefs,” Stellies concluded.
