KAIZER CHIEFS TURN AWAY FROM CHIPPA UNITED AND NIGERIA’S STANLEY NWABALI?
As reported before Afcon 2023, Amakhosi were said to be targeting a shot-stopper. The subject was Chippa’s Nwabali.
The 27-year-old soon returned from Afcon with a silver medal. Additionally, he holds the status of Afcon’s second-best keeper behind Bafana Bafana’s Ronwen Williams.

But things also changed at Chiefs.
The goalkeeping duo of Bruce Bvuma and Brandon Peterson signed new deal extension.
According to new reports, Chiefs have decided to stop chasing Nwabali’s signature.
“Chiefs are sorted in the goalkeeping department so there are no talks over a new goalkeeper,” a source told the Citizen.
“I think the management will start talking about goalkeepers at the end of the season when (Itumeleng) Khune’s contract ends. But right now, Chiefs are not chasing Nwabali,” the source concluded.
