Government urges South Africans to come out in their numbers and give the national rugby team, the Springboks, a hero’s welcome as they are expected to arrive at O R Tambo International Airport tomorrow at 17:00. This is indeed a momentous occasion as the champions bring home the Webb Ellis Cup.
The Springbok Trophy Tour is scheduled to take place between 7-11 November 2019 across various parts of the country. Fans and people from all walks of life are encouraged to be part of the Springboks victory parade by lining the streets, wearing their supporter’s shirts and fly the South African flag to show support and love to the team.
The #StrongerTogether team has shown all South Africans that by working together we can overcome any challenge.
Once again, the South African government has congratulated the #Bokke for their magnificent achievement. “Their performance serves as an inspiration for our youth to participate in sport and enhance the country’s success and growth in the industry. Their outstanding win is an indication of the capability of South Africans to reach world class performance,” the govt said in a statement.
Details of the tour will be made available on Wednesday, 6 November 2019.
