SA-born flanker Lappies Labuschagne was recently added to Japan’s squad.
Furthermore, SA-born lock Paul Willemse has been ruled out of France’s squad.

Lappies was a late addition to Jamie Josephs squad after he initially only named 30 players.
Moreover, Lappies is the only SA-born player in his side after Gerhard van den Heever missed the cut.

In contrast, Willemse has been ruled out of the tournament with a thigh injury, according to French publication Le Monde.
With one SA-born star added and another ruled out the SAFFA Representation remains the same.
SA WELL REPRESENTED IN FRANCE
There will be a pretty strong contingent of South Africans at the Rugby World Cup.
Excluding the Springboks, there will FIVE SA-born players, two coaches and two officials.

Duhan van der Merwe, Kyle Steyn, WP Nel and Pierre Schoeman will represent Scotland. Furthermore, Lappies will play for Japan.
Then, Allister Coetzee is the head coach of Namibia and he will be assisted by former Springboks forward coach Mathew Proudfoot. Finally, Jaco Peyper was named by World Rugby as one of their officials with Marius Jonker named as a TMO official.
