In a South African context, the most important of these signings in that of World Cup-winning Springbok scrumhalf Grant Williams, who will be staying at Kings Park until the next World Cup in 2027.
Having made his Super Rugby debut in February 2018, Williams has tallied 54 first-class appearances for the Sharks, scoring 19 tries.
His excellent form and eye for a gap led to him making his Test debut in 2022 and earning a place in the 2023 World Cup squad, helping the Springboks retain the Webb Ellis Cup, with his pace being utilised on the wing in the tournament.
The Sharks have also retained the services of 25-year-old Scotland flank Dylan Richardson until 2026, while lock Emile van Heerden and tighthead prop Hanro Jacobs (both 23) signed until 2027.
Additionally, 24-year-old hooker Fez Mbatha has signed on until 2026.
