Rugby World Cup Final: Numbers Behind Springboks
The Springboks and All Blacks will fight for a record fourth Rugby World Cup Final title at Stade de France in Paris on Saturday evening.
The Springboks enter uncharted territory with their fourth appearance in the Rugby World Cup final. It’s the Boks’ second RWC final against the All Blacks, a repeat of the 1995 Rugby World Cup final that South Africa famously won 15-12 after extra time. Both teams have won three titles each.
The Boks are looking to become the second team to win back-to-back William Webb Ellis trophies after New Zealand (2011 and 2015). Jacques Nienaber included 10 players in the starting XV who also started in the 2019 World Cup final win against England.
