Rugby World Cup 2023 odds: Springboks now FAVOURITES for title!

Despite a tournament-ending injury suffered hooker Malcolm Marx, the Springboks are favourites to win a record fourth Rugby World Cup title.

Despite the tournament-ending injury suffered by star hooker Malcolm Marx, the Springboks are now FAVOURITES to win a record fourth Rugby World Cup title.

A look at the latest odds shows that the Springboks are now favourites to lift the Webb Ellis Cup in France next month, according to leading South African bookmakers Hollywoodbets.

The Springboks are now on offer at 28/10 having won their opening match against Scotland 18-3.

Should Jacques Nienaber’s team go on to defend the Webb Ellis Cup, it would be a record fourth World Cup win following their triumphs in 1995, 2007 and 2019.

Hollywoodbets have France – who are looking to lift the Webb Ellis Cup for the first time after the final at the Stade de France on 28 October 2023 – available at 3/1.

Meanwhile, the All Blacks are also looking for a fourth success having emerged victorious in 1987 and 2011 on home soil, as well as 2015 in England.

They are now on offer at 4/1.

World No 1-ranked Ireland, despite their poor World Cup record, are next best at 5/1.

England are on offer at 12/1, while a struggling Australian side under coach Eddie Jones can be backed at 14/1.

Wales and Argentina (both 40/1) are seen as the only other possible winners.
