Kaizer Chiefs dropped to seventh in the DStv Premiership standings after losing last weekend’s Soweto derby to rivals Orlando Pirates.

NOTE: This article will be updated after each match played

Amakhosi have 29 points after 20 matches and any chance of adding the league title to their trophy cabinet is dead and buried for another season.

The Glamour Boys will be looking over their shoulder for those teams chasing a top eight finish and a spot in next season’s MTN8 tournament.

The dates and kick-off times of nine of Kaizer Chiefs’ 10 remaining matches have been confirmed.

The home clash against TS Galaxy, which was postponed due to Bafana Bafana’s late return to the country following their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) campaign, is yet to be confirmed.

Kaizer Chiefs have five home and five away matches remaining.

Four of the 10 matches are against teams currently ranked above them in the standings, while five are against teams in the current bottom six in the log.

Below, the SAPeople website’s predictions for Kaizer Chiefs’ 10 remaining DStv Premiership matches in the 2023/2024 season:

TBC v TS Galaxy (H) – TBC – WIN

30 March v Cape Town City FC (A) – 15:30 – DRAW

2 April v Stellenbosch FC (H) – 19:30 – DRAW

6 April v Chippa United (A) – 15:00 – WIN

20 April v Richards Bay (A) – 15:00 – WIN

27 April v SuperSport United (H) – 17:00 – DRAW

30 April v Mamelodi Sundowns (H) – 19:30 – LOSS

11 May v AmaZulu (A) – 17:00 – DRAW

18 May v Polokwane City (H) – 15:00 – WIN

25 May v Cape Town Spurs (A) – 15:00 – WIN

Is we are correct, that means another 19 points will be coming Kaizer Chiefs’ way this season.

That would mean a final tally of 48 points.

While that won’t be enough to take the title or likely qualify for a CAF Champions League or CAF Confederations Cup spot next season, it should be sufficient to secure a MTN8 berth.
