Planning on running the 2025 Two Oceans Marathon? Here’s when

Race organisers have confirmed the dates for the 2025 edition of the Two Oceans Ultra and Half Marathons.

Next year’s race will be the 54th Two Oceans Ultra over 56km in Cape Town.

It will take place on Saturday, 5 April.

Next year’s Half Marathon will take place on Sunday, 6 April and will cover 21.1km.

The Two Oceans Marathon for several decades took place on the Easter long weekend, before moving to the weekend after – or a fortnight later – in recent years.

However, the 2025 race will take place two weeks BEFORE Easter, with Easter Sunday scheduled for 20 April.

Gerda Steyn is the reigning women’s Two Oceans Marathon champion, while Onalenna Khonkhobe, also from South Africa, won this year’s race.

Entries will open soon – and SA People website will keep those interested in taking to the start line updated.
