Percy Tau dragged after Tunisia face-off: ‘Very self-centred’
‘Percy Tau has done nothing for Bafana Bafana in this tournament,’ a disgruntled X user said about Tau’s AFCON performance so far.
South African social media users have spared very little kind words for Bafana Bafana player Percy Tau who joined his team in an Afcon (Africa Cup of Nations) match against Tunisia. According to many who watched the nail-biting game, Tau played very selfishly and made the game about himself.
While the teams 0-0 draw has kicked them into the Afcon knockout phase, X users pleased with Tau not to make the same mistakes.

PERCY TAU SLAMMED FOR SELFISH ON FIELD TACTICS
When Bafana Bafana qualified for the Afcon23, many South Africans wondered whether or not the national football team would live up to expectations.
While they were off to a rocky start after losing to Mali, they quickly dusted off their soccer boots and came back clearly more focused.

This scored the team a 4-0 against Namibia in their next match and now a goalless draw against Tunisia on Wednesday 24 January.
Despite this victory, many are slamming the Al Ahly forward who they are saying played selfishly and acted as if the game revolved around him.
“Percy Tau is very self centered, poor decision making at all times at crucial moments… In his head he’s Bafana Bafana alone & the biggest superstar… so disgusting!” one angry soccer fan wrote.

Many in the comment section agreed with the disgruntled fan.
“The way he took time to pass others the ball even in counter attacking opportunities I can count almost 4 times we could’ve easily scored,” one person said while another wrote:
“Percy Tau has done nothing for Bafana Bafana in this tournament,”
“Percy Tau has been losing balls and no one wants to say anything about it,” a third added.
