Orlando Pirates claim victory over Crystal Lake

Orlando Pirates ended their three match winless run following a 6-0 victory against Crystal Lake on Saturday afternoon.

The Buccaneers travelled to the Mbombela Stadium to face the fourth tier side in their Nedbank Cup Round of 32 encounter.

Olisa Ndah gave his side the lead in the fourth minute before Tapelo Xoki made it 2-0 from the penalty spot three minutes later.

Relebohile Mofokeng then made it 3-0 in the 11th minute before Patrick Maswanganyi made it 4-0 in the 33rd minute.

Tapelo Xoki completed his brace in the 51st minute before Tshegofatso Mabasa completed the rout in the 81st minute.

“So, we want to be there again. But the way to do that is to win every game in the competition. This is a knockout game, and not the league.

“Surprises and nice history always happen for these types of games. We want to take it seriously; we are going to play one team which will show it wants to win as well.”
