Mofokeng has taken the PSL by storm since making his debut late last season however Maela has urged him to remain focused as he’s far from being a star!

The 18-year-old starlet recently jetted out to English Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers for a trial.
Upon his return back to South Africa, Mofokeng produced a solid Soweto derby performance against rivals Kaizer Chiefs.
And while fans are quick to salute the talented midfielder, Maela has urged him to come back down to earth.

ORLANDO PIRATES CAPTAIN ISSUES STERN ADVICE TO MOFOKENG
“In terms of him being a star, well he’s far from that. I’ll be honest with you.” Orlando Pirates captain Innocent Maela said as quoted by Sowetan.
“There’s still a lot of work that he needs to put in. He still has to improve on a lot of things and he acknowledges that. Yes, the fans love him but he needs to stay close to reality and focus on his game.
“We tell him all the time that he must continue to stay grounded and work harder. He just got started now and he mustn’t think he has arrived.”

“The league is the most important competition, it goes without saying,” Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro said as quoted by TimesLive.
“Thirty games, 15 away and home against everyone in every circumstance, hot and raining. So, it’s the most important competition and we really want to find our rhythm there.”
