OKOCHA WANTS PITSO TO JOIN NIGERIA
While there has been no official word from either Mosimane’s camp or the Super Eagles, JayJay Okocha said the experienced South African would “add great value” to Nigerian football.
“I think Pitso, without any doubt, is one of the best African coaches. His track record is there for everyone to see,” he told Prime Sports with Mahlatse Mphahlele.
“I think if we can get a coach like that, he would add great value to our football. A coach that has got a lot of experience here is in our home in Africa. I don’t know how true that is, but of course like that is most welcome.”
“I don’t think we are where we are supposed to be,” Okkocha said of Pitso Mosimane’s potential new team. “I always believed we are one of the best in Africa, but of course, recently, we have not had the results to match that status.
“We might have lost a bit of that respect and fear we had during our era. This is what we are trying to bring back.”
