Not all hope is lost in Mosimane and Kaizer Chiefs deal
The long ongoing dance between Kaizer Chiefs and legendary coach, Pitso Mosimane has taken a new and interesting twist.
Pitso Mosimane continues to be linked with a possible move to Kaizer Chiefs for the upcoming season but there’s a new twist to it.
While Mosimane has previously revealed no talks with Chiefs regarding him possibly taking over as their head coach.
However, a section of Chiefs fans continue to put pressure on the club’s management to give Mosimane a chance to coach their beloved team.
Now, Mosimane’s agent and wife Moira Tlhagale has told iDiski Times that her clients – Pitso and his technical team – have given her a mandate.
And that mandate is to find them the national team coaching job when their current project in Saudi Arabia comes to an end.
As things stand, Mosimane is contracted to Saudi Arabian outfit Abha FC who are involved in the relegation zone.
However, Tlhagale further revealed that the agency, of course, in consultation with Mosimane, will consider other projects even if they are local, and thus, giving Chiefs that little hope.
PITSO WANTS TO GO INTERNATIONAL & MAY NOT JOIN KAIZER CHIEFS
“I will tell you definitely, the next move the coach would like to do or the coach and the whole technical team would like to do is a national team,” she said.
“So, we are looking for those options for them; that’s the mandate they have given me but obviously, if there is a project, even local, that comes, we’ll consider it,” concluded Tlhagale.
MOSIMANE PREVIOUSLY FLIRTED WITH NIGERIA
Mosimane previously spoke of how he admires the Super Eagles of Nigeria, especially the current generation of players.
And Nigeria legends such as Jay-Jay Okocha gave Mosimane the backing to succeed as their national team head coach.
Should Mosimane get what his heart desires, it would be the second time he coaches at national team level having done so with Bafana Bafana between 2010 and 2012.
