Njabulo Blom called out by Bafana coach
Hugo Broos says former Kaizer Chiefs star Njabulo Blom failed to produce a medical report after he claimed he was injured.
Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos says former Kaizer Chiefs star Njabulo Blom does not have the right attitude.
Blom was left out of the Bafana Bafana 23-men squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The 23-year-old Louis City SC star featured for the national team last month but Broos chose to leave out for ex-Chiefs midfielder for qualifiers against Benin and Rwanda.
BROOS NOT HAPPY WITH NJABULO BLOM
“You know Njabulo Blom is not there at the moment. He sent a message on Monday saying that he was injured on his shoulder and he couldn’t come to camp,” Broos explained last week as per FARPost.

“We asked for a medical report and now we didn’t receive it. We received a message three days later that he can play. I don’t think that is the right attitude and the right mindset to come to a national team.

“I’m very sorry, this is not the first time. This is not the right attitude, I find. Players, when you hear them talking, you hear about the hunger to play for the national team, it’s up to you to think what attitude is that and therefore I didn’t select him,” Broos was quoted on FARPost.
