Given the recent run of disappointing results, the club and Molefi agreed that this was the best course of action under the prevailing circumstances.
Cavin Johnson, who recently joined Amakhosi as Head of the Youth Development Academy, will take over as the first team coach on an interim basis.

Current assistant coach Dillon Sheppard will retain his position under Johnson.
Assistant coach Arthur Zwane will return to his former role within the development structures of the club.
Ntseki arrived at the Soweto giants in June 2021 as Head of Technical and Youth Development.
He took over as the senior team head coach in June 2023.

Ntseki expressed his gratitude to the chairman, Dr Kaizer Motaung, and the Board of Directors for the opportunity to coach Amakhosi, and wished the team all the best for the rest of the season.
Kaizer Chiefs are current eighth in the DStv Premiership standings with 11 points after nine matches.
They have won three, lost four and drawn two of the matches to date, having scored eight goals and conceded six.
Their next match is an away clash against second-placed Golden Arrows on Saturday, 28 October.
Kick-off is at 15:30.
