Lucas Radebe urges Kaizer Chiefs to give Johnson time
Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Lucas Radebe says Cavin Johnson is a ‘proper model’ in terms of being a father figure.
Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Lucas Radebe has urged his former club to give current coach Cavin Johnson time.

The 65-year-old coach was appointed Amakhosi interim coach following the sacking of Molefi Ntseki last month.

His first game saw him losing to Golden Arrows, before a win against Cape Town Spurs.

A Soweto Derby loss to Orlando Pirates just before the Fifa international break may have prompted Kaizer Chiefs management to look for a coach before the end of the year.
Radebe believes the club should be patient with the former Platinum Stars coach.
“We can’t judge him by one game. There are so many games. You have to give him time. The season is still longer,” Radebe told FARPost.

“We are going to have many games as long as he lasts. He is a proper model in terms of being a father figure, he’s a father figure. I can see the players respect him, not only the players but everyone. The appreciation is there despite the pressure and the expectations.
“Cavin [Johnson] has a big task but there are a lot of expectations from inside and outside. He can do as good as he can,” Radebe added.
