The Springboks are the defending World Cup champions having lifted the Webb Ellis Cup in Japan in 2019.
Siya Kolisi is expected to be named in the squad – and be named captain – despite carrying a knee injury which ruled out him out of the recent Rugby Championship.
The Springboks have been drawn in Pool B at the tournament, alongside, Ireland, Scotland, Tonga and Romania.
