Former Orlando Pirates star Linda Mntambo looks set to be rewarded with a contract extension at Sekhukhune United.
The midfielder has made just two appearances for United this season after missing majority of the opening half of the campaign through injury.

Despite his injury struggles, Mntambo is viewed as a key member for the club both on and off the field of play!
According to the latest reports, Sekhukhune United view Mntambo as an ‘ambassador’ and have decided to extend his contract!
LINDA MNTAMBO TO BE REWARDED BY UNITED?
“The club is happy with him and the way he has recovered,” – an insider told SoccerLaduma regarding the former Orlando Pirates star.
“You know he is the club captain and they want to keep him as much as they can hence the two years for now as they are also considering his age. He is 34 and in 2027 he will be 36. So it’s not a bad deal at all.
“He markets the team very well. He’s a player they need even outside the playing field to market and promote the team.
“He has recovered from injury now and he can play but even when he was not playing he was like the face of the club and that’s why they want to keep him for another two more years.”
In other news, Rhulani Mokwena was left frustrated with referee Thando Ndzandzeka after his side’s 1-1 draw against Orlando Pirates in the DStv Premiership.
Things simply didn’t click for both teams at a packed Loftus Versfeld Stadium and Mokwena has since voiced his frustrations.

RHULANI MOKWENA UNIMPRESSED WITH REFEREE AFTER PIRATES DRAW
“I didn’t like the game today. It’s not a game of football,” Sundowns coach Mokwena told SuperSport TV as quoted by IdiskiTimes following the Orlando Pirates clash.
“First time that I don’t like my team. Not at all and of course a game of football you need three good teams and I don’t like my team today, I don’t think the referees were good today either.
“I never complain about referees but I don’t think they were good today. I think Orlando Pirates put up a fight.”
Mamelodi Sundowns will be facing La Masia on Tuesday evening in their Nedbank Cup Round of 32 clash.
The last time the Brazilians lifted the Nedbank Cup trophy was in 2022. Last season’s champions were Orlando Pirates.
