Komphela argues that Pirates are about to click as they are patient in their build-up and can be the ones to challenge Sundowns.

“Go to Liverpool, go to Man United, go to Arsenal. If you check Liverpool, they had to go get [Virgil] van Dyk and the goalkeeper [Allison], and as soon as they go those players, it clicked,” adds the former Bafana Bafana skipper.

“It is the same discussion I had with Bra Stan “Screamer” Tshabalala, when they were heavily involved at Orlando Pirates – I said, ‘The only thing you need to look at – and I’m not advising Orlando Pirates, but it’s a football discussion – Liverpool.’”
