Kgaogelo Sekgota still clubless after Kaizer Chiefs
Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Kgaogelo Sekgota has struggled to place his boots on solid ground after leaving the Soweto Giants.
Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Kgaogelo Sekgota is still without a club having been released by Stellenbosch earlier this month.
The 26-year-old parted ways with Stellies after just six months with the Cape-based side.
The club released a statement which stated that both parties decided to part ways with immediate effect.
According to the Citizen, the ex-Kaizer Chiefs winger may have been released due to ill-discipline.
“They didn’t want to embarrass him by going the disciplinary route because the club would have been forced to reveal why they are taking that route, so both parties agreed that they must just quietly part ways,” the Citizen said in a report.
KGAOGELO SEKGOTA LEFT KAIZER CHIEFS AFTER HE WAS UNDERUTILISED
“I think he was frustrated that he was sent to the reserves, but he is not a bad boy. I think he was just frustrated. He remains a good player in my opinion,” the publication added.
Sekgota spent two years with Kaizer Chiefs but was underutilised by both Stuart Baxter and Arthur Zwane.
The former Bidvest Wits winger, who has plied his trade in Portugal and Lithuania, will hope the move to his new club will help him reach his best again.
He might fancy his chances with Moroka Swallows as they have been recruiting new players.
