Kaizer Jr reveals why Chiefs terminated midfielder’s contract
Kamohelo Mahlatsi has left Kaizer Chiefs and the midfielder is now a free agent, the club said on Monday morning.
Kaizer Chiefs have officially parted ways with midfielder Kamohelo Mahlatsi.
The club announced in a statement that the 25-year-old’s contract was terminated by mutual consent just six games into the new DStv Premiership season.

“Kamohelo has given his best at all times while a Chiefs player and, following consultation with his representatives, we decided to release him with a view to him finding more regular game time somewhere else. We appreciate his efforts and wish him all of the best for the future,” said Amakhosi Sporting Director, Kaizer Motaung Jr.
The 25-year-old joined Amakhosi from Moroka Swallows in 2022 and featured seven times for Amakhosi.

According to reports, SuperSport United’s young defender Luke Fleurs could be replacing Mahlatsi at Chiefs. Fleurs is reportedly a free agent after leaving Matsatsantsa.

Another likely replacement is Donay Jansen. The 20-year-old Chiefs winger has impressed in the DStv Diski Challenge, scoring 12 goals.
Amakhosi travel to Polokwane to face SuperSport United at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Wednesday night. After that, they have a big game on Saturday against Mamelodi Sundowns in the second leg of the MTN8 semi-final.
