Kaizer Chiefs vs Royal AM kickoff time

Kaizer Chiefs and Royal AM will once meet again in the DStv Premiership this Sunday.

With the midweek fixtures postponed due Bafana Bafanas run in the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, all 16 DStv Premiership teams will return to action for the first time this year this weekend.

Amakhosi will take to the field of play on Sunday afternoon following a six-week hiatus when they take a trip to Pietermaritzburg, to face Royal AM.

Thwihli Thwahla, who formerly played their home matches at Chatsworth Stadium, have moved to the midlands where they now use the Harry Gwala Stadium as their home venue.

The two teams played to a goalless draw in their last encounter in September 2023 at FNB Stadium.

KAIZER CHIEFS LOOKING FOR A FRESH START

After managing to pick up 10 points, and keeping three clean sheets in their last four matches during the month before the Afcon break, Kaizer Chiefs are looking to maintain that form in the final stretch, as they aim for a CAF competition spot at the end of the season.

Amakhosi coach Cavin Johnson confirmed that most of his players are battle-ready for Royal AM and keen to kick off 2024 on a positive note with a victory away from home against coach John Maduka’s boys.

Kaizer Chiefs have looked positive and sharp since Johnson took over from Molefi Ntseki last year in October.
