Kaizer Chiefs target TS Galaxy’s Lehlohonolo Mojela
Kaizer Chiefs are said to be sniffing around Lehlohonolo Mojela as they continue their hunt for a new striker for the club.
Kaizer Chiefs are believed to be monitoring several players ahead of an expected recruitment drive at the end of the current term.
A report from Soccer Laduma posits that Amakhosi are tracking TS Galaxy’s Lehlohonolo Mojela.
The publication have stated that Kaizer Chiefs have been tracking the former Casric Stars man for some time.
KAIZER CHIEFS CHASING TS GALAXY FORWARD MOJELA
Chiefs were keen on signing him before he made his move to Mpumalanga.
“It’s unfortunate they could not get him last season when he was still at Casric Stars. They inquired about him even at that time after playing against Casric Stars in the Nedbank Cup. They started talking to the club but it didn’t go far. They are serious about him,” a source told Soccer Laduma.
“Let’s wait and see what Galaxy will say. He hasn’t even spent a full season there but players move in football and anything is possible.
The source acknowledged that TS Galaxy are unlikely to let their star man go cheaply.
“Getting him wouldn’t be a problem but that means they have to pay much more than they could have paid last season. But the scouts are the same and they have apparently been following him and they are happy with what they saw last season at Casric and what they are seeing this season at Galaxy.
“It will now all depend on talks. Nothing else. But yes, Chiefs are monitoring Mojela,” the source observed.
WILL THE GLAMOUR BOYS GET THEIR MAN?
As is the norm, Kaizer Chiefs have not been willing to discuss their transfer plans.
Coach Cavin Johnson refused a blank cheque in the January window in favour of keeping the squad onside.
These links appear to have validity but we will only find out at the end of the season in Kaizer Chiefs will get their man.
