AmaZulu FC president Sandile Zungu has delivered a cryptic update on Siphesihle Maduna who has not featured for the club amid links to Kaizer Chiefs.
It has been rumoured that Maduna has been exiled from the first team squad over his desire to leave the club.

KAIZER CHIEFS TARGET STILL IN LIMBO
Zungu has delivered the standard line that Maduna is still an Amazulu player so long as he is contracted to the Durban outfit.

Maduna has not played at all this season with his contract expiring at the end of the term.
Meanwhile the players has also been banished from training although Zungu insists that his efforts are still being directed by the club’s coaches.
Amazulu have taken a dim view of players with one foot out of the door in the past, infamously banishing Siyethemba Sithebe from the first team after he signed a pre-contract with Kaizer Chiefs.
‘WE STILL LOVE HIM’
Maduna will only be eligible to put pen to paper on a pre-contract in January and had been linked with a move away from the club this season.
“He [Siphesihle Maduna] is still a player of Usuthu,” Zungu said as per FAR Post.
“He’s training, directed by Usuthu coaches.
“He can’t be seen at the stadiums, he also can’t be training with the team.
“So, it’s the internal issues within the club that I wouldn’t like to go through in detail on what went wrong. But he’s still a player of AmaZulu.
“The future cannot be predicted because his contract will expire at some stage.
“Maybe we will renew it or maybe not, maybe he will go to another club or maybe he will ask to stay with us.
“He’s still with us and we love him.”
A proposed swap deal between AmaZulu and Moroka Swallows involving Maduna and Tlakusani Mthethwa collapsed and it has been suggested that he will take up a Kaizer Chiefs offer in January, although he is unlikely to arrive at Naturena until July 2024.
