Kaizer Chiefs have kept fans guessing about their next move but new reports suggest the club has shortlisted five candidates for the gig.
Another day, another update about Kaizer Chiefs coaching. Soccer Laduma has dropped an exclusive new report.
KAIZER CHIEFS WITHOUT A HEAD COACH
October 2023 was the big turn. Amakhosi announced the departure of Molefi Ntseki as head coach. It didn’t take long before the club announced a big surprise: Cavin Johnson from head of development to interim coach.
Four months later, Johnson’s Chiefs crashed out of the Nedbank Cup first round by losing to a lower division club.
New reports say the Johannesburg-born coach is certainly going back to the development structures.
Additionally, Chiefs have reportedly drawn a shortlist of candidates to take over the head coach role next season or sooner.
According to the reports, the candidates include Pitso Mosimane and Manqoba Mngqithi.
The list also features two unnamed Europeans and a South American.
