Kaizer Chiefs legend Itumeleng Khune finally laid some demons to rest against Cape Town Spurs in a midweek victory.

KHUNE ENDS A TERRIBLE KAIZER CHIEFS CURSE

Prior to the club’s 3-2 success against Cape Town Spurs, according to OptaJabu, Kaizer Chiefs had lost each of their last seven league games when Itumeleng Khune started. It’s not the type of record any player wants to have, and certainly not one you’d associate with the great man. He was also in the starting XI when Amakhosi got dumped out of the Carling Knockout Cup. He’s back to winning ways in between the sticks though.

The Glamour Boys and the Buccaneers renew hostilities this Saturday, the 11th of November, at 15:30 in Soweto. The Sea Robbers won the most recent meeting between the sides in May, but Chiefs won the five H2Hs before that. Will Khune keep his place in the side on Saturday at the Calabash?
