DStv Premiership giants Kaizer Chiefs will have a new head coach soon. Let’s rate the reported six candidates so far.
Millions of Kaizer Chiefs followers have been anxious for weeks. Who will be the next head coach of the mighty Glamour Boys?

KAIZER CHIEFS CANDIDATE COACHES RATINGS
As recent reports revealed, the Spaniard Raul Caneda emerged as the first name before the likes of Pitso Mosimane, Muhsin Ertugral, Nasreddine Nabi, Sven Vandenbroeck and Alexandre Gallo.

1. Raul Caneda
Caneda has experience in his homeland and Asia but is yet to work in Africa. Was Manchester City’s assistant coach assistant, Juanma Lillo at Real Sociedad in La Liga.
Rating: 7/10
2. Pitso Mosimane
Best candidate on the list. A South African with a record five DStv Premiership titles and two CAF Champions League titles. Looks too expensive.
Rating: 9/10.

3. Muhsin Ertugral
One of Chiefs’ greatest-ever coaches with the Operation Vat Alles season: Knows the local league very well and works well with young players. Can be a bit too temperamental. His last job was in 2019.
Rating: 6/10.
4. Nasreddine Nabi
Won a league title and domestic Cup in Africa with Simba SC in Tanzania. Currently leading the log in Morocco with AS FAR.
Rating: 8/10.
5. Sven Vandenbroeck
Vast experience in Africa. The Belgian has worked for the AFCON 2017 champions Cameroon as Hugo Broos’ assistant. He later coached the likes of Simba and Wydad Casablanca. Won the Moroccan Cup with FAR Rabat.
Rating: 7/10.
6. Alexandre Gallo.
Reportedly the favourite to take over at Chiefs. The Brazilian has enormous experience in South America and Asia but yet to work in Africa. Won the Recopa Sudamericana with Internacional in 2007.
Rating: 7.5/10.
