Kaizer Chiefs chairman reveals when the new coach will start
Kaizer Chiefs chairman Dr Kaizer Motaung says the new coach will need to be given time and fans should understand the process.
Kaizer Chiefs chairman Dr Kaizer Motaung has revealed when the next club coach will likely be announced.
Amakhosi are currently in the market for a new coach following the departure of Molefi Ntseki in October.

Speaking on the SportsLIVE with BBK podcast, the Kaizer Chiefs founder said the new coach would be in charge of the club going into pre-season.
Currently, Cavin Johnson serves the role of an interim coach and is expected to do so until the end of the season.

“This has always been our aim unfortunately along the way you get derailed by unruly people who don’t understand and become very emotional. And that is the challenge that we are facing right now but at the end of the day, I’m sure we will get it right,” said Motaung.

Asked of he thought Molefi Ntseki and Arthur Zwane should have given time, the chairman said every coach that comes to a team, needs time.

“Yes and no, but at the same time I think yes because any coach who comes in need to be given time. You cannot bring a coach and expect results immediately and think you’ll win the league in the next season. So it might happen but what we need is to exercise patience because things like this are not build overnight.

Motaung said there are no top coaches available.
“I cannnot say at the moment how many CVs are on the table but process is taking place.”

“We haven’t embarked on talking to anybody at the moment but we have put a process in place for us to deal with new coacht that we want to bring in because as you said, Mr Johnson is just an interim coach at the moment.”
The club chairman said the new coach will be announced when the time is right.
