Kaizer Chiefs: Benni McCarthy’s agent puts his name forward!

Imagine Benni McCarthy returning from Manchester United to take the reigns at Kaizer Chiefs. His agent believes he could be the answer.

Interestingly, McCarthy’s agent Rob Moore believes that McCarthy is one of the possible options to fix Amakhosi’s crisis.

With Erik ten Hag struggling at Manchester United, this move is possible should he get sacked and McCarthy leaves before January.

MCCARTHY’S AGENT BELIEVES HE SHOULD COACH CHIEFS

Moore believes that McCarthy should coach Chiefs.

“For me there’s only two South Africans who could do the job at Chiefs, Pitso (Mosimane) and Benni,” Moore stated on SoccerLaduma.

McCarthy’s agent believes he has the character and reputation for Amakhosi.

“Benni because for his personality, the respect the players have for him,” he added.

Furthermore, he believes he could install the positivity and discipline Amakhosi need.

“His ability to manage a locker room, his ability to call a game during a game situation but you know we talking Pitso and Benni, two very strong characters. And who wants things done and done properly. Their tolerance levels are low for things that aren’t done properly,” he added.

KAIZER CHIEFS MANAGEMENT LOOKING TO HIRE NEW COACH IN JANUARY

Cavin Johnson is left with just over a month in his short tenure as interim coach of Amakhosi.

Moreover, Chiefs are expected to announce their new coach in January 2024. They are currently monitoring several overseas-based options which means Mosimane and McCarthy are not out of the picture since both men have been coaching overseas. Mosimane is a free agent who has been living in the UAE whilst McCarthy is the current striker coach at Manchester United.
