Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates make offer to Bafana star
Either Kaizer Chiefs or Orlando Pirates have put in a very good offer to bring back home a Soweto-born Bafana Bafana star.
Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates are believed to be going head to head for a number of transfer targets.
Chiefs and Pirates are both known for wanting to boost their respective squads with the best quality available.
It is believed that, this time around it will be no different between the two Soweto giants. This, of course, will inevitably see them clash for certain targets. According to reports they’re already clashing for Stanley Nwabali, Oswin Appollis, Elias Mokwana, Riaan Hanamub and Shaune Mogaila. That does not seem to be where the list ends, however, with a new name set to be part of the tug-of-war.
In fact, just three weeks ago this publication reported that Chiefs had joined Pirates in the race for Freddy Kouablan. That just proves that both clubs are looking to strengthen their forward lines ahead of next season. Now according to Soccer-Laduma one of the two have shown interest in forgotten Bafana Bafana forward Luther Singh. It is also thought that either club would be facing some serious competition for his services.
ZAMALEK IN POLE POSITION IN AFRICA?
Zamalek are thought to have made the best offer to bring Singh back to Africa. The second best offer, however, comes from a Soweto giant, either Chiefs or Pirates.
CHIEFS OR PIRATES STEPPING UP SINGH CHASE?
“It will be tough and difficult choosing the right move as there are a couple of teams which have inquired about him (Singh). Another tempting offer is from a Soweto giant and if the Zamalek offer doesn’t satisfy the parties involved then the homecoming move could be on the cards as well for him. However you should not forget about European and MLS offers as well. So let’s wait and see at the end of the season.” Said the source.
It remains to be seen whether Singh will opt for either Chiefs or Pirates or Zamalek or chose stay abroad.
