The 1996 African champions, Bafana silenced Africa’s number one ranked team, Morocco on Tuesday night and coach Broos wants his men to remain grounded as they meet Cape Verde.

A former Afcon winner with Cameroon back in the 2017 edition, coach Broos says Bafana came to the tournament to go out of the group stages and will prepare for Cape Verde – but they must be grounded.
With hard-working Bafana players such as Teboho Mokoena and Evidence Makgopa who both scored on Tuesday night, coach Broos and his men could still reach the Last Four but they need to be grounded versus Cape Verde.

Speaking after the match in Ivory Coast, coach Broos wants Bafana to remain disciplined and grounded if they want to reach the next stage of the Afcon tournament over Cape Verde.
“We came here with the first aim of getting out of our group,” said Bafana coach Broos ahead of the Cape Verde tie per IOL.
“We were delighted to do that but you can’t be certain of going any further when you come up against Morocco.
“On Saturday we will once again be playing against a dangerous team and we can’t make the mistake of underestimating them.”

BAFANA’S BROOS EYEING ANOTHER WIN, TEAM MUST BE GROUNDED
In his post-match reaction, Morocco mentor Walid Regragui added they are disappointed after their loss to Bafana and Afcon exit – coach Broos wants his men to be grounded.
The continent’s top-ranked nation, Morocco were hoping to follow up their remarkable run to the last four in Qatar just over a year ago by winning their second Afcon title but they were beaten by Bafana coached by Broos.

“We are very disappointed because we came here with the ambition of winning,” added a disappointed Morocco coach Regragui after their loss to Bafana.
“Going out so early was not in our plans but this competition is very difficult.
“I take responsibility for everything that has happened. I never hide. Today I have failed.”
