GAVIN HUNT DEMANDS RESPECT FOR BAFANA BAFANA COACH
Soon before Broos suffered his first loss as Bafana coach in 13 matches, the 71-year-old Belgian met up with SuperSport United’s four-time winning coach Gavin Hunt to chat about local football.
The meeting with Hunt was Broos’ second one with PSL coaches after TS Galaxy’s Sead Ramovic.
“We exchanged and he told me what his thinking is,” Hunt said, as quoted by iDiski Times‘ Lethabo Kganyago.
“He asked me about players and I gave him my opinion because it’s only about opinions of players. What I think, what I don’t think and he’s a fantastic guy. And you know a guy like that we should be tapping into his knowledge.

“He’s more knowledgeable. He’s older than all of us. He’s played at the highest level, he played in a World Cup. He’s played at a top level. He’s coached teams that won and I don’t think we respect him enough.
“I don’t think we give him his time of day enough and I think it’s been a bit disrespectful, what’s happened to him from what I hear. He’s told me a few stories and I was very disappointed because we shouldn’t be like that.
“He’s got my full support and you could learn so much from the guy. We should be tapping into his knowledge and how we can improve things in South Africa. I wish him well in January and I hope it’s really successful. I really do,” the SuperSport tactician concluded.
