PIRATES SQUAD CULL CONTINUES

According to SoccerLaduma, four more players are on the verge of leaving Mayfair:

“Cameroonian strikers Bienvenu Eva Nga and Souaibou Marou remain in doubt after they reportedly failed to convince head coach Jose Riveiro that they would be the solution to goal-scoring this season,”

“While the likes of Evidence Makgopa and Siphelo Baloni could still be affected by the changes, with the club likely to send some players on loan.” their insider source added.

HUGE CHANGES ARE AFOOT AT ORLANDO PIRATES

Pirates have brought in a number of marquee names, including Melusi Buthelezi, Karim Kimvuidi, Katlego Otladisa, Patrick Maswanganyi, Lesedi Kapinga and Siphelo Baloni. It’s clear that Jose Riveiro and his technical team want to take things up a notch in terms of quality. The Buccaneers also have parted ways with 15 players, either permanently or on loan.

LEPASA ON FIRE

Meanwhile, Bafana Bafana striker Zakhele Lepasa is proving that a loan spell away from Pirates isn’t necessarily the end of your Buccaneers career. He’s got five goals in all competitions, including a hat-trick against Sekhukhune in the Nedbank Cup.
