Retired boxing legend, Floyd Mayweather posted a picture of a cgeck revealing he paid a staggering $18M in taxes.
Retired boxing legend Floyd Mayweather has revealed that he paid a staggering $18 047 181 (R342 million) in tax this year.
Ouch!

At the height of his career, the boxing icon was banking hundreds of millions of dollars from fights against the likes of Irish MMA star Conor McGregor and Philippines boxer Manny Pacquiao – among others.

In his heyday, his tax bill would have been far bigger than it is now!
However, even in retirement Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather is still making … money.
And lots of it.
He runs several businesses, owns a number of properties and still competes in exhibition fights around the world.
Floyd Mayweather, who will turn 47 on 24 February 2024, retired with a perfect 50-0 record.

Earlier in the day, Mayweather posted his plans for the Super Bowl in Las Vegas this weekend.
Mayweather, who lives in the city, divulged that he spent $1.131 million (R21.4 million) paying for 34 friends to watch the clash between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers with him on Sunday, 11 February at Allegiant Stadium.
The match will start at 01:30 (SA time) on Monday, 12 February.

As a result, he posted: “Just before I paid that light million and change for that little Super Bowl stuff, I had to pay the IRS aka Uncle Sam $18,047,181.
“This is what I owed in taxes while I’m retired so just imagine what I was paying when I was activated.”
