DStv Premiership log updated after Sundowns win Tshwane derby
Sundowns beat Tshwane rivals SuperSport United on Wednesday – and returned to the top of the DStv Premiership standings.
Mamelodi Sundowns claimed a 2-0 win over Tshwane rivals SuperSport United at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Wednesday, 29 November – and returned to the top of the DStv Premiership standings.

The Brazilians, who had not played in the domestic league since late September, were leapfrogged at the head of the table by Cape Town City this past weekend, but goals from Peter Shalulile and Lucas Ribeiro helped them to a ninth successive DStv Premiership win since the start of the season – a new PSL record.

Masandawana lead the way with a full haul of 27 points from their nine matches, while Cape Town City dropped to second place with 25 points from 13 matches.
Matsatsantsa, who have now lost three matches in succession across all competitions, remain in third on 23 points from 13 matches.

Shalulile gave Mamelodi Sundowns the lead in the 31st minute with Ribeiro adding the second in first-half extra time.

Mamelodi Sundowns will be back in DStv Premiership action on Wednesday, 6 December with an away clash against AmaZulu, while SuperSport United’s next league match is away to Moroka Swallows on Friday, 15 December.
Both Tshwane teams will be in CAF club action this coming weekend.
