Daine Klate signs Kaizer Chiefs youth product for La Masia

Former Orlando Pirates winger and current La Masia coach Daine Klate has acquired the services of a Kaizer Chiefs youth graduate.

Thato Makua has officially joined the Motsepe Foundation Championship outfit on a free transfer to continue developing his game.

Makua was on the books of Amakhosi DStv Diski Challenge team when Swallows offered him a first team contract last year.

He featured in just seven matches before leaving the Dube Birds at the end of that same campaign.

Makua, 20, joins La Masia alongside former Mamelodi Sundowns and Bafana Bafana left-back Siyabonga Zulu.

Zulu penned a one-year deal with La Masia to also try and revive his fading career which took a nosedive whilst on the book of Sundowns.
