Former Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana captain Lucas Radebe says Amakhosi should give current coach Cavin Johnson time to improve the team.

Johnson was appointed Amakhosi interim coach following the sacking of Molefi Ntseki in October.

Radebe believes the Chiefs should be patient with Johnson until the club brings in a new coach.

“We can’t judge him by one game. There are so many games. You have to give him time. The season is still longer,” Radebe told FARPost.

“We are going to have many games as long as he lasts. He is a proper model in terms of being a father figure, he’s a father figure. I can see the players respect him, not only the players but everyone. The appreciation is there despite the pressure and the expectations.

“Cavin [Johnson] has a big task but there are a lot of expectations from inside and outside. He can do as good as he can,” Radebe added.
